Based on Chapel Hill writer Elizabeth Spencer's novel, the show traces a tender love story unfolding during a trip to Italy in 1953 by Winston-Salem socialite Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara. In Florence, Clara falls in love with Fabrizio, the son of a local businessman.
